College of the Ineffable Degrees

Education on the Ineffable Degrees concerns the Law and Obedience to the Law reshaping the effectiveness of Masonic education. This course is designed to promote awareness of Masonic education among students, faculty, and learning designers. Moreover, it emphasizes duty, fidelity, integrity, and the necessity for secrecy in all confidential relationships and that trustworthiness is more precious than life and is the foundation of Masonic honor and pay due respect to the memory of a deceased worthy Brother. This course is the summit of Ancient Craft Masonry. As the crowning degree in the Lodge of Perfection, its essence is the holiness of God and reverence for His Holy Name. You will be introduced to Masonic education concepts that will equip you to utilize Masonic educational resources within your own institutions. As more educators share Masonic educational resources, greater collaboration and shared knowledge is possible. This shift can increase access to quality Masonic educational possibilities, particularly in places that have not historically had these opportunities.

College of the Historical & Philosophical Degrees

Central to effective teaching is providing Masons with strong Masonic educational design that offers opportunities to independently and collaboratively explore and acquire knowledge. Masons can then apply what is learned to different contexts, in order to demonstrate that the learning outcomes have been achieved.  This Course teaches the important lessons of loyalty to conviction and devotion to right, loyalty to truth and fidelity to duty, loyalty to God is man’s primary allegiance, and the temporal governments not founded upon God and His righteousness will inevitably fall.  The lessons taught in this Course are that man must have a new Temple in his heart where God is worshiped in spirit and in truth and that he must have a new law of love which all men everywhere may understand and practice. This Course affirms the broad principles of universality and tolerance.  This course will introduce you to effective Masonic design. Developing effective educational design requires careful planning and structured thinking to scaffold learning in order to maximize Freemasons’ potential for success.  In this course you will identify the principles and key steps Masonic trainers need to take to design effective Masonic educational opportunities for Freemasons.  The course is based on the recognition that learning is most effective when it is guided by clear expectations, academic standards and an integrated curriculum, where the various components of the program, courses, etc. are identified, aligned and linked to assessment.

College of Traditional and Chivalric Degrees

This course focuses on giving the Masonic student an overview of the frailty and imperfection of human nature and the purpose of punishment through repentance and reformation and the understanding why the Word laid down his life for mankind. The emphasis will be heavily placed on the history and formation of the repentance and reformation, definition, causes, and characteristics of the same. The Masonic student will take an even closer look at the Traditional and Chivalric Degrees.  Best teaching practices will be investigated, observed, and applied.
